About Us

Sport Fishing in Hawaii since 1950, established over 50 years ago by John and Ed DeRego, fishing aboard the boat Stella Maris (Star of the Sea). Over the years, several boats have been retired and replaced by our current “fleet” of four boats; the one and only Maggie Joe, everybody’s favorite Sea Hawk, fast and fancy, and our newest Oahu addition Ruckus, are all now available for charter on Oahu! We have also recently added a beautiful vessel, Ku’uipo, available for charters in Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Oahu Deep Sea Fishing has the vessels, equipment, and expertise to provide you with the best chance of catching your dream fish. Our boats are air conditioned, well cared for, and maintained to provide you comfort during your trip. We have top of the line Shimano and Penn International reels to help you catch the fish of a lifetime. We also have high end fish finders and electronics on all of our boats. We also provide you with Captains with years of experience in fishing the Hawaiian waters. They know the best spots and tricks to secure your best chance.
